Rocio Silva ( CFD, AIFD )
Director IMTF
Rocío Silva is a Certified Floral Designer (CFD) and an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD). She also serves as an AIFD-certified floral evaluator and judge (CEJ), bringing global standards and expertise to every classroom she leads. She has been immersed in the floral world her entire life. She is the Director of IMTF since 2004.

Under her leadership, the Monterrey School has graduated more than 4,000 students. She holds a degree in Communication Science. Co-creator of IMTF’s floral design curriculum. Contributor to Arte Floral,a leading Latin American floral magazine. A dedicated gardener certified from the National Gardener Association (Mexico) and serves as a judge in gardening and lanscape design competition
Seema Jhaveri
Director – (IFD)
Seema Jhaveri is the visionary founder and Director of the Institute of Floral Design (IFD), India’s first structured floral design institute. With a degree in Computer Science, and diploma in Jewelry Design and Counseling, her diverse background reflects a deep commitment to creativity and education.

Her passion for floristry was ignited through her experience managing flower exports from Kenya to European markets. After completing intensive training at IMTF (Mexico), Seema launched IFD in 2011, starting with a single branch in Mumbai. Today, IFD has expanded to multiple locations across Mumbai, Pune, and even internationally in Kenya.

Daisy Sidhwa, a graduate of Bajaj Institute, Mumbai, is a core faculty member and Senior Trainer at IFD. Trained under Ms. Rocío Silva, she further honed her skills in Mexico and with leading International Floral Masters. Specializing in visual merchandising and event floral design, Daisy has created impactful floral experiences for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. As a mentor, she guides aspiring designers with a blend of creativity and precision, while also serving as a jury member for IndiaSkills, shaping professional standards in floristry.
Harinakshi Mistry, a certified Ikebana teacher and Bonsai artist, has been a core faculty member at IFD since 2011. Trained in Mexico and under leading international floral masters, she blends India’s traditions with global floral design trends.
She has represented IFD at universities and events across India, and showcased Indian floristry at the BMW Guggenheim Lab. As a mentor and jury member for IndiaSkills & WorldSkills, she inspires and guides young designers towards international standards in floristry.
Kamini Johari, a certified Sogetsu Ikebana Master and Bonsai artist, has been a core faculty member at IFD since 2011. Trained under Ms. Rocío Silva and internationally with Gordon Lee, she blends Japanese floral philosophy with modern design. She has represented IFD globally, including training faculty at the Institute of Floral Design in Nairobi. As an Ambassador for Smithers-Oasis and a jury member for IndiaSkills & WorldSkills, Kamini promotes innovation in floristry while mentoring the next generation of designers.

Priyanka Khandekar, a Science graduate and certified floral designer, turned her passion into a professional pursuit. She holds the Third Master’s Diploma from the Ohara School of Ikebana and has trained students towards their own diplomas.
With advanced training in Japan and certification at IFD, she blends traditional Ikebana with contemporary floral design. Actively involved in workshops, competitions, and demonstrations, Priyanka brings precision, creativity, and global perspective to her teaching at IFD.
Sanjeevani Desai, a B.Com. graduate from Mumbai University, turned her passion for flowers into a professional career in floristry. An IFD alumna, she began her teaching journey at the Pune branch and has since conducted floral demonstrations and workshops across the city.
She represented IFD at Flora Expo 2016 and is an active member of the Sogetsu Ikebana School. Known for her creativity in vegetable carving, leaf manipulation, and floral jewelry, Sanjeevani also serves as a competition judge, inspiring innovation in floristry.
Saroj Joshi, a certified Ikebana instructor and floral designer, has been part of IFD since 2013 and faculty at the Pune branch since 2016. Holding advanced qualifications from the Ohara and Ikenobo schools of Ikebana, along with teacher’s training at IFD, she blends Japanese traditions with contemporary floral design. With over 15 years of teaching experience, she has conducted lectures and workshops across institutions, corporates, and NGOs. Saroj has also collaborated with international designers and is a passionate pressed flower artist, bringing creativity and versatility to her teaching.
